It’s predicted that by 2030, global e-waste will reach 74 million metric tons – almost a doubling in just 16 years, making e-waste the world’s fastest-growing domestic waste stream. In 2019 alone, a record 53.6 million metric tons of electronic waste was generated worldwide.

In 2019, the amount of e-waste generated had grown by 21% over five years.

By 2040, 14% of our annual carbon emissions will be attributable to electronics production.

In 2021, the annual e-waste total is expected to rise to 52 million metric tons.
Environment: Improper disposal of electronic waste may cause pollution problems because electronic equipment contains toxic contaminants that can cause water and air pollution and are of particular concern when disposed of in landfills.
APR Electronic Services is proud to continue leading the journey to recycle e-waste and empower our customers to join in the effort— not just on International E-Waste Day, but every day.
